Good Evening WMS cheer athletes and families,
Thank you to all the students who participated in this year’s football cheer tryouts. Our coaching staff is very proud of how all athletes showed discipline, energy, and positivity throughout the process.

Weddington Middle School’s Football Cheerleading Team Try Out Information for 2025:  

Roster decisions are final, and are determined with the best interest of the program as a whole, as well as the individual athletes in mind.

Mandi Little is the head coach. Based on the judges’ comments, Coach Little can provide feedback for individual athletes to help them better prepare for future tryouts and goals. Please give 24 hours after try outs before reaching out based of the WMS athletic policy.

All athletes selected to join the team and one parent (minimum) must attend the mandatory parent and athlete meeting on May 21st. Calendars and contracts will be reviewed at this meeting. Parent Meetings will be held in the WMS Media Center. Starting times: 

• 6th Grade Booster will begin promptly at 5 PM.

• 7th & 8th Grade Varsity will start promptly at 6 PM. 

We are planning a uniform fitting after each meeting.

Please wear spandex shorts and a sports bra under your attire so you can try on items for the season.
