As the fall regular season roles on we look toward the playoffs and what that means for teams across the district. Below you will find teams to watch out for as the fall regular season comes to an end.
FOOTBALL
With football nearing the end of the season here are a few teams to watch as the playoffs get closer.Â

Cuthbertson
The Cavaliers sit at 7-3 overall with a 2-2 conference record.
Last season the Cavaliers finished with an overall record of 6-5 and a 1-3 conference record.Â
They made it to the first round of the playoffs but fell on the road to Porter Ridge.

Forest Hills
The Yellow Jackets sit at 7-3 overall with a 4-1 conference record.
Last season the Mavericks finished with an overall record of 12-2 and a 4-1 conference record.Â
They made it to the fourth round of the playoffs but fell on the road to Shelby.

Marvin Ridge
The Mavericks sit at 4-6 overall with a 1-3 conference record.
Last season the Mavericks finished with an overall record of 6-5 and a 2-2 conference record.Â
They made it to the first round of the playoffs but fell at home to Mallard Creek.
Â
Monroe
The Redhawks sit at 9-0 overall with a 5-0 conference record.
Last season the Redhawks finished with an overall record of 11-2 and a 5-0 conference record.Â
They made it to the third round of the playoffs but fell on the road to Bunker Hill.

Sun Valley
The Spartans sit at 8-2 overall with a 3-1 conference record.
Last season the Spartans finished with an overall record of 8-4 and a 1-3 conference record.Â
They made it to the second round of the playoffs but fell on the road to Grimsley.

Weddington
The Warriors sit at 9-0 overall with a 4-0 conference record.
Last season the Warriors finished with an overall record of 14-2 and a 3-1 conference record.Â
They made it to the championship round of the playoffs defeating Hoggard for the 4A state title.

VOLLEYBALL
With volleyball at the end of the regular season here are some teams to look out for in the playoffs.Â

Cuthbertson
The Cavaliers finished the season at 21-6 overall with a 5-3 conference record.
They fell to Reagan in the third round of the state playoffs on Saturday, October 26th.Â
Last season the Cavaliers finished with an overall record of 10-16 and a 2-6 conference record.Â
They made it to the second round of the playoffs but fell on the road to Myers Park.

Marvin Ridge
The Mavericks sit at 34-4 overall with a 8-0 conference record.Â
They will face Cardinal Gibbons in the championship round of the state playoffs on Saturday, November 2nd.Â
Last season the Mavericks finished with an overall record of 27-5 and a 8-0 conference record.Â
They made it to the fourth round of the playoffs but fell at home to Cox Mill.

Parkwood
The Wolf Pack finished the season at 17-7 overall with a 10-2 conference record.
They fell to East Lincoln in the first round of the state playoffs on Tuesday, October 22nd.Â
Last season the Wolf Pack finished with an overall record of 7-15 and a 5-7 conference record.Â
They did not make the playoffs last season.Â

Piedmont
The Panthers finished the season at 9-14 overall with a 6-6 conference record.Â
They fell to North Iredell in the first round of the state playoffs on Tuesday, October 22nd.Â
Last season the Panthers finished with an overall record of 17-8 and a 10-2 conference record.Â
They made it to the first round of the playoffs but fell at home to Pisgah.Â

Sun Valley
The Spartans finished the season at 15-13 overall with a 3-5 conference record.Â
They fell to Southwest Guilford in the first round of the state playoffs on Tuesday, October 22nd.Â
Last season the Spartans finished with an overall record of 11-17 and a 4-4 conference record.Â
They made it to the first round of the playoffs but fell on the road to Lake Norman.

With men’s soccer nearing the end of the season here are a few teams to watch as the playoffs get closer.
