Former Sun Valley baseball alum Brandon Butterworth has shown out big for N.C. State Baseball.

Butterworth, class of 2021 at Sun Valley, committed to Western Carolina. During his time there Butterworth had a career .300 batting average, 87 hits, five homers, and 37 RBIs.

Previously at Sun Valley he batted .420 during his senior season in 2021.

After talking with players and coaches the move to play for the Wolfpack was an easy one. The transition has been smooth with adapting being one of Butterworth’s strengths.

From Sun Valley, to Western Carolina and now N.C. State he has proven his case for this strength.

So far during his short time with the Wolfpack he has a .259 batting average with N.C. State, now 18-8 overall. He also has 21 hits, 10 RBIs, and one homer and started 26 games.

Butterworth has also proven himself as a great closer for the team sealing the deal in a game against Coastal Carolina on March 19, where he tagged a runner on first ending the game 9-8.
