Tryouts for 7th and 8th graders Only for MRMS Football Cheer will be held in the MRMS Aux Gym afterschool on Monday, May 20th from 4:15pm – 5:30pm and Tuesday, May 21st, starting at 4:15pm.  Tryout material will be sent on Friday, May 17th by 5pm via e-mail to those who are registered.  You WILL NOT receive Tryout Information unless you are Registered for Tryouts!!!

 

Registration is Open now for Tryouts – you must be Registered in Family ID, have a current Physical uploaded to Family ID, and be Approved prior to Tryouts.

 

Click on the link below for Marvin Ridge Athletic Zone and click on the middle Orange box near the top of the page that says, “Click Here For Marvin Ridge Athletic Forms” and then scroll down and click on the Marvin Ridge horse at the bottom of the page.  This will take you to Arbiter Sports where you will sign into your existing account or Create a new account for Family ID, then click on “2023-24 Marvin Ridge Middle Athletic Registration,” then scroll down under “Sections,” and click on the small open square to the left of “ ** 2024-25 Fall Cheerleading Tryouts” and continue to follow the directions to Register.  You will upload the current Physical in Family ID.

 

 

Tryout Attire for each day is a plain white t-shirt with sleeves; navy, royal, black, or orange Soffe or athletic shorts; cheer shoes or white sneakers; hair in a high ponytail.  NO MS, HS, College, or Allstar logos on anything is permitted.  NO jewelry.  Bows are Optional, but may have NO logos on them either.  If the students are not in proper attire, they will NOT be permitted to tryout.

Tryouts will be based on a Cheer, a Chant, and a Dance, which will be sent on Friday, May 17^th by 5pm, and also a Toe Touch Jump.  Students will need to learn the material by Monday, May 20^th and be prepared to tryout in front of the judges on Tuesday, May 21^st.  Monday will be a Tryout Clinic where the students will be reviewing the learned material and can ask questions and practice everything to prepare for Tuesday, which is the actual Tryout.  The students are free to leave as soon as they finish trying out on Tuesday.
