We are excited to announce that Marvin Ridge Middle School boys’ soccer tryouts will take place February 4–6, 2026, immediately after school from 4:15–6:00 PM. If you are receiving this email, you have a 7th or 8th grader who has registered to try out for the team.

Tryout Schedule

• Wednesday, February 4: 4:15–6:00 PM

Meet at the practice soccer field behind the tennis courts.

• Thursday, February 5: 4:15–6:00 PM

Location to be confirmed; plan to meet at the Team Time field behind the cafeteria.

• Friday, February 6: 4:15–6:00 PM

Location to be confirmed; plan to meet at the practice soccer field behind the tennis courts.

What Players Need to Bring

• Cleats and a soccer ball (if possible)

• Water bottle

• Athletic clothing appropriate for the weather

What Coaches Will Be Evaluating

Technical skills, tactical understanding, work rate, athleticism, communication, and overall coachability.

Players should plan to attend all three days unless an absence is communicated in advance.

Team Selection

Final rosters will be posted online only for the players who have made the team, ideally soon after the weekend.

To ensure a fair and unbiased evaluation process, we will have one or two additional experienced evaluators assisting throughout the tryouts. This helps ensure every player has a fair opportunity to be seen and assessed.
