UCPS spring sports teams to play in preseason OrthoCarolina events
Some Union County Public Schools spring sports teams will participate in the inaugural OrthoCarolina preseason girls soccer and boys lacrosse events this weekend.
The boys soccer event — the OrthoCarolina Preseason Play Day — will be played at Cornelius Road Park (247 Cornelius Road, Mooresville, NC, 28115).
The girls soccer event — the Foothills Friendlies Powered by OrthoCarolina — will be played at the Henry Fork River Park (5655 Sweet Bay Lane, Hickory, NC 28602).

Both events are preseason scrimmages featuring multiple teams from across the region. They are scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 21, 2026.
