UCPS 2025 Playoff Preview

WOMEN'S TENNIS

Individual

State championships were held on Friday, October 24 and Saturday October 25.

Dual Team

State championships were held on Friday, October 31 and Saturday, November 1.

WOMEN'S GOLF

State Championships were held on Monday, October 27 and Tuesday, October 28.

Marvin Ridge won the team and individual NCHSAA 7A Golf Championship for the first time in school history.

Freshman Ella Spence took home the individual state championship beating out Cuthbertson’s Gracie Strong by two strokes.

Spence also helped the Mavericks beat Lake Norman in the team championship.

VOLLEYBALL

State championships were held on Friday, October 31 and Saturday November 1.

Marvin Ridge defeated D.H. Conley 3 sets to 1 to win their first NCHSAA 7A State Championship.

Jillian Young won the championship MVP.

MEN'S CROSS COUNTRY

State championships were held on Friday, October 31 and Saturday, November 1.

Cuthbertson Men’s Cross Country defeated Cardinal Gibbons to take home their first NCHSAA 7A State Championship.

State championships will be held from Thursday, November 20 to Saturday, November 22.

First Round: Tuesday, November 4
Second Round: Thursday, November 6
Third Round: Monday, November 10
Fourth Round: Thursday, November 13
Regionals: Tuesday, November 18
State Championships: Thursday, November 20 – Saturday, November 22 at Appenzeller Field, Guilford College
